BACK TO BREAST CANCER INITIATIVE EAST AFRICA
Empowering Rwanda's vibrant youth to lead the charge against breast cancer, building a healthier future from within every community.
Rwanda is a nation powered by youth. Nearly 78% of Rwandans are under 35, and about 61% are under 25, an unmistakable wave of energy, ambition, and possibility. Pink Youth Rising channels this demographic strength into purpose, transforming today’s students into tomorrow’s health leaders, advocates, and innovators.
Knowledge is prevention. We equip young people with clear, culturally relevant education on breast cancer signs, risk factors, myths vs. facts, early detection, and how to support loved ones, turning awareness into action and stigma into empathy.
Giving the Youth Access to Gain Critical Life and Workplace Skills
From leadership and public speaking to project management, data collection, and responsible use of digital tools, participants build skills that matter. These are the capabilities employers value and communities depend on, forged through meaningful service.
Youth are not just volunteers, they’re stakeholders. We elevate their perspectives through community forums, campus dialogues, social media campaigns, and policymaker roundtables so ideas from the next generation help shape Rwanda’s health future.
Partnering With Student Organizations, Universities and Secondary Schools
Impact scales through partnership. We collaborate with student organizations, , universities, and secondary schools to embed breast health education, volunteer pathways, and leadership tracks, creating a nationwide network of informed, engaged change-makers.
